Afterlife

Some people are absolutely certain
What happens to one’s mind and soul
When they die

Does our mind and soul simply vanish
Without a trace?
Or are they transformed into another existence
Living in another spiritual world? Another physical world?

It seems like everyone
Really wants to know
What happens when we die

If the news is good
Then many people will live
A more accepting,
Possibly carefree, life

If the news is bad
Then some, or many
Will have an
Anxious existence

I hope the news is good
Do I dare ask
“What is good news?”
