From 7 am to 8 am*

From 7 to 8
Is my special time
To decide on what to do today
And on what to avoid

Although I can wander
Around the neighborhood
I chose to simply sit
And write down my thoughts

I may write about a concept
Or try my wit at a poem
Or I may simply
Figure out a song

And when the 8th hour
Is about to arrive
I try to shift gears
And start to unwind

But if I am in full swing
I’ll not look at the clock
Another 10 minutes
Won't make much of a dent in my day.
